Mectec Autumn/Winter Blokart Race Series 2010 

Sunday 19 September                Briefing 9.30am              1^st Race 10.00am

VENUE:     BENONE BEACH 

At the end of the race series prizes will be awarded in the following categories: 

Production and Performance for 1st, 2^nd and 3^rd in each lightweight and heavyweight per class. 

Lightweight below 85kg, heavyweight 85kg and above. 

Entry Fee for the full series is £25.00 stg for Blokart Club Ireland members and £35.00 for non members  (Juniors £20.00)  Pre-registration is essential. 

Karts will be available for hire to those who do not yet own a kart but wish to take part in the series on the condition that they have taken the Blokart Fast Track Training Course with any of the BLSA Activity Providers.  Cost of kart hire for the series is £60.00 which will include kart, sail, helmet, goggles and gloves. 

Racing will be according to EBA Blokart Rules, the scoring system will be 0 points for 1^st place, then 2/3/4 or respective places. 

We will try for a minimum of 3 races per day weather dependant. Each competitor will be allowed one discard after 4 races have been completed, eg over the five days 15 races have been completed, you can discard your 3 worst results if 16 have been completed you can discard your 4 worst results, so best technique will be to sail consistently and well. 

Although the racing will take part in accordance with the EBA Blokart Rules, the purpose of the series is to have  F U N  and learn the rules as you go, so that you get the experience to move onto more major events.
